Batson Cross
This development of 40 flats and houses was part of the regeneration of the South Wales coastline.
The design was reminiscent of a ‘lighthouse village’, houses with groups of low out buildings and wings form a self-contained group with spectacular views of Camarthen Bay.
The three storey apartment buildings at the north west and south west corners of the site are gateways marking a coastal path from the village to the beach. The design is contemporary yet still in keeping with the marine setting, drawn entirely from the local Welsh vernacular.
