For over 40 years Thrive Architects has developed an unrivalled reputation throughout the industry with clients of all sizes and needs.
We have particular expertise in the residential and retirement sectors and our work encompasses; masterplanning urban extensions for mixed-use communities, residential scheme development, extra care housing, care homes and retirement villages.
We have developed a ‘thriving’ practice across our offices in Romsey and Portishead. We work hard to build a strong and enthusiastic team with all levels of experience; this is reflected in the way we solve problems through design.
We aim to create a positive working environment for our staff which is one of our many core values. With regular staff social events and professional development programs, we make sure that there is a healthy social and professional environment that improves working relationships internally and externally. By building strong, knowledgeable and effective teams, we are able to create a supportive workplace offering opportunities for individuals to develop their professional understanding and wider knowledge.
The practice has consistently been recognised for its high-quality approach to design with awards including The RIBA, RTPI ‘Housing Design Award’, the Stratford Upon Avon District Council ‘Housing Award’ and the Bath and North East Somerset ‘Design Quality Award’.
The practice received recognition from CABE in the ‘National Housing Audit’ report (2007) and ‘A Sense of Place’ study (2007), which rated the mixed-use development at Field Farm, Shepton Mallet the highest in the South West region. The Field Farm development also received the Mendip District Council, ‘Best Multiple Housing Award’ in 2007. Our Fairfield Park project received the prestigious Building for Life, ‘Gold Award’ in 2010 and remains the largest multi-developer scheme in the country to be recognised in this way.
