Amesbury
2002 - Present
There are several facilities within the Archer’s Gate development that contribute to the community and provide local services.
The local centre itself contains a convenience store, several small shops (with apartments over), a public house and a community building with multi-functional hall and community garden. The local centre was designed to reflect the local vernacular with buildings positioned around a large square containing parking and overlooked by a statue of the ‘Amesbury Archer’.
Close by is the Archer’s Gate School together with sports fields served by changing facilities in the form of a traditional cricket pavilion. A new primary school is to be constructed on the Kings Gate phase of development. Thrive designed and prepared the reserved matters applications for the Community Building, Sports Pavilion, Convenience Store and several small shops.
