Matthew Driver, Associate Director, recently visited the former Prince Phillip Barracks site in Bordon, Hampshire, this was a project undertaken for Taylor Wimpey South Thames and The Dorchester Group.
Phase 1a brings forward the first 172 homes on the 2400 unit consented site of which Matthew added ‘The reserved matters planning stage approval was granted in May 2016 so it’s nice to see our designs start to take shape. Phase 1a acts as a very important and strategic part of the site welcoming the world to this new part of Bordon.’
East Hampshire District Council were keen to see contemporary and traditional architecture fused together with existing and new landscaping. After many hours round the drawing board, Taylor Wimpey South Thames, Dorchester Group, Thrive and the rest of the consulting team have managed to execute the brief to create what will become a vibrant new community. This development will be enjoyed by not only the new residents of the Prince Phillip site but the wider demographic of South East England.
