Senior Architectural Technician (Technical)

Thrive is looking for a talented senior experienced architectural technician to join our expanding technical teams in both Romsey and Portishead. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who has an interest and the experience in producing quality working technical drawings for residential projects.

Summary of Role

The role will involve interpreting client brief and the production of working drawings and technical documents while complying to the latest legislation.

To assist with the delegation of projects to technicians and oversee timescales & quality control while liaising with clients and external parties.

An opportunity is there to develop over time and gain wider experience and knowledge, progressing within the technical team.

Key Attributes & Skills Needed

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience (UK based) working on residential/mixed-use projects for developer clients and national housebuilders
  • Sound technical knowledge and in depth understanding of building regulations
  • Proficient in AutoCAD; REVIT desirable but not essential
  • Sound knowledge of M4 (CAT 2 & 3) of the NDSS
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently but also as a team participant
  • Proficient communicator both verbally and written
  • Desire to progress and attend CPD
  • Full UK Driver Licence
