Thicket Mead

Thicket Mead is a development of 137 homes in a semi-rural setting on the edge of the village of Midsomer Norton, near Radstock.

The design of the scheme for a developer client evolved in close collaboration with the landowners, the Duchy of Cornwall, to meet their exacting requirements for urban design, classical detailing and use of materials. The development was awarded the Bath and North East Somerset ‘Design Quality Award’ twice in consecutive years in 2002 and 2003.

Thrive prepared the outline and reserved matters applications and subsequently the construction information, including the large scale details of the classical mouldings for the stonework contract.
