Due to the growing nature of the UK Housing Industry and our ongoing success, we are able to offer willing candidates fantastic work experience opportunities in architecture, urban design and graphics at our Romsey and Portishead offices. We provide an in-depth insight into the industries, which will enrich your CV and encourage your curiosity and enthusiasm.
Architecture and Urban Design
Our architecture and urban design placements are designed to cultivate your interest for art, design and the built environment. Providing potential opportunities for candidates to be involved with; preparing and presenting design proposals; planning applications and presentations; the creation of detailed drawings; client meetings; and liaising with a range of contractors including; engineers; surveyors; and other industry specialists.
Through first-hand experience, our placements will encourage you to develop a logical, analytical and creative approach to design. Whilst strengthening your visual awareness skills and eye for detail, and also helping you to master your drawing abilities both by hand and with CAD technology. In addition they will also enrich a variety of additional competences including; verbal and written communication skills; presentation skills; and time management skills. At Thrive Architects, we are passionate about what we do and are keen to share this and help willing candidates into the industry.
Graphic Design
Our graphic design placements will strengthen your skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), sharpen your eye for design, detail and layout and increase your knowledge of print and production. Our placements will also enhance your written and verbal communications skills and your ability to interact with staff of all levels, whilst allowing you to work on multiple assignments at the same time. We provide genuine experience opportunities, enabling you to develop creative solutions for live projects with real deadlines, mastering skills which can be transferred to future work prospects.
