Pinn Court Farm – Phase 1 Update

Chris Privett and Matt Bangay from our Romsey office had the opportunity to visit Phase 1 of our Pinn Court site last week in Exeter, designed on behalf of Bloor Homes.

(Site visit 21st August ’18)

Matt Bangay & Chris Privett recently visited the Pinn Court Farm site in Pinhoe, Exeter where Phase 1 is currently under construction by Bloor Homes. Thrive Architects provided Architectural and Urban Design services for both Phase 1 and the wider site.

Comprising 150 dwellings in a mix of tenures, Phase 1 forms the first part of a 430 unit mixed use development on the thriving outskirts of Exeter. Walking around the scheme, Matt commented;

“It’s fantastic to see so many of the dwellings now complete and occupied. Bloor Homes have done an excellent job on the fit and finish of the units and it’s great to see the hard work of the project team realised”.

The local shop at the entrance to the scheme is also under construction and the Linear Parkland is beginning to take shape. Both of these are key elements of the development and crucial in delivering much needed services and amenity space to the residents of the scheme and the local community.

East Devon District Council have been supportive throughout the process and encouraged the use of both traditional and contemporary architecture. Such collaboration with the Local Authority is key to creating a unique and characterful development and we at Thrive Architects look forward to working with them and Bloor Homes on the future phases.
